Nelson Mandela is one of those rare public figures who’s death is not divisive. Everyone is united in their sadness, everyone agrees that he was an incredible man who did great things and immeasurably improved the lives of millions of people. He showed us that any odds can be overcome and any enemy can be defeated. There are no opinions or debates on the death of Nelson Mandela, only mourning and gratitude for a man who changed the world, and will never be forgotten.
We will not likely see the likes of Nelson Mandela again — so it falls to us as best we can to forward the example that he set: to make decisions guided not by hate, but by love, to never discount the difference that one person can, make, to strive for a future that is worthy of his sacrifice.
